🚍 1. How to Get from Granada Airport to the City Center

Bus: There is a shuttle bus (Airport Bus) that connects Federico García Lorca Airport with the city center.
Key stops: Triunfo, Cathedral, Puerta Real, Palacio de Congresos.
Duration: 30–45 minutes.
Price: €3 (payment in cash or by card to the driver).

Taxi: A taxi from the airport costs between €27–35, depending on the time of day and traffic.

💳 2. Tickets and Payment Methods (Urban Bus and Metro)

🚌 Urban Buses (red buses operated by Rober)

  • Single ticket: €1.60 (cash only, paid when boarding).
  • Bonobús card:
    • Available at tobacco shops and kiosks.
    • Card cost: €2 (rechargeable).
    • Price per trip with the card: ~€0.87.
    • Free transfers within 60 minutes.
    • You must enter through the front door of the bus.

🚇 Granada Metro

  • Single ticket: €1.35.
  • Prepaid card (Metro de Granada):
    • Price per trip with card: €0.82.
    • Can be purchased and recharged at machines in metro stations.
    • Important: You must validate your card both when entering and exiting the metro.

🚖 3. Taxis in Granada

  • Taxis can be taken at designated taxi ranks or ordered by phone/app.
  • Base fare: From €4.
  • Short rides within the city: Usually between €5 and €10.
  • Night/weekend fare: Slightly higher (~10–15% extra).
  • Recommended app: PideTaxi.

Conference Hotel Option 1: Hotel Abades Nevada Palace****

This hotel is next to the venue, but it is far away from the city center.

The Abades Nevada Palace Hotel is a 20-minute walk from the Conference venue, Faculty of Medicine. To go to the city center, you will have to take the metro (the stop is in front of the hotel) or bus. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to reach the city center.

Conference Hotel Option 2: Hotel Saray Granada****

This hotel is closer to the city center, but you will need public transport or taxi to get to the venue (15 min)

This hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the commercial center of Granada. There is a bus stop (line 4) at the door of the hotel to go to the Conference venue.

Hotel Saray recreates the essence of Granada: the charm of its gardens and the constant sound of water, traces of its Nasrid past, combining respect for tradition with the comforts of a luxury hotel of the XXI century. The hotel has rooms and suites with a careful design and all the details for a comfortable stay.
